I am the face behind Smile As You Mae Photography. I specialize in weddings, newborn, and family photography. I have 7+ years of experience in the industry. I mainly serve the SC+ NC region but I also love to travel to other locations.
I was born and raised in Lancaster, SC. I earned my BSN degree from the University of South Carolina Upstate. Photography was a hobby for me during nursing school. I could have never dreamed about the places photography has allowed me to go. Fast forward seven years later, and I have photographed over 200+ weddings, 1000+ sessions, and own a photography studio right inside my hometown. When I am not behind the camera I love spending time with my sweet baby boy and my high school sweet-heart.
I absolutely adore this profession. I know that choosing a photographer for your milestones is a very important decision. I will ensure that you receive memories that last you a lifetime. I am so glad you stopped by, I hope we are able to work together soon.
Meet Megan

Hi, I'm Megan. I have been partnered with Smile As You Mae Photography for three years now. Michaella and I are a sister team who work very closely together. I specialize in wedding videography. It is such an honor able to capture a couple's most memorable day of their lives.
I also help manage our social media accounts and serve as our backup photographer. If Michaella is already booked for a session I would love the opportunity to assist. When I am not behind the camera I love hanging out with my fur baby, Ace and hanging out with friends.
Where did the name "Smile As You Mae" originate?
Choosing a business name can be quite daunting I must admit. I am often asked where did your photography business name come from. So fun fact... I knew I wanted my business name to be very unique. I decided I wanted to incorporate my grandmother's middle name "Mae" into my business name.
